Day 97

Fryday

After an uneventful day back at the office (first time since May 2nd), I had time to do some turtle herding in the backyard.  Found #10 and Trudy in the Iris bed.  Naughty, naughty.  Distracted them from their illicit affair with a couple raw shrimp, which they eagerly devoured.

Meanwhile, here's a collection of photos of the Dragon Boats that ply the Willamette River.  Taken Wednesday after lunch, by evening dozens and dozens of crews were rowing them up and down the river.

Here Dr. Sullivan tries her skill with Glass and the dragon ships.  We discussed the need for a viewfinder app that previews the photo via video within Glass and then takes a full 5 MP photo on voice command.

Backing up even further, the opportunities I had with Glass at the Portland Japanese Garden were legion.  Interestingly, the same landscape architect that designed Portland's garden was employed to work as a consultant on Albuquerque's Japanese Garden at the Biopark.

I particularly like how vignettes can help tell the story.  This one shows the view of the stone garden from above with a close-up inset of the stone garden included.
